Dr. Angelika Schlager

My name is Dr. Angelika Schlager and I live in Vienna, Austria. I was trained as a veterinarian and, in addition to my work at Boehringer Ingelheim as a drug safety officer, I wrote a dissertation on the status of animal shelters, animal asylums and Gandenhöfe in Austria. Afterwards I spent a decade in the forensic medicine department in Vienna. Interest in and concern for wild animals is very important to me. Especially in a big city like Vienna, there are only a few protected areas reserved for animals.
