Adesuwa Obasuyi

Adesuwa Obasuyi holds a Master's Degree in Environmental Quality Management and she currently works as the Operations Manager at Sustainable Africa Waste Initiative, an environmental NGO that focuses on waste and waste data management in Nigeria and Africa.

She is a Teach SDGs Ambassador, a Global Youth Climate Network Climate Ambassador, a Country Representative for the African Circular Economy Network and a City Organizer for Circular Economy Club.

She plans, organizes and leads several environmental and youth-centered awareness programs, projects, summits and initiatives with focus on achieving the SDGs. She is a public speaker, facilitator and programs coordinator; she also writes articles as a means to awaken global consciousness on environmental protection and the importance of including young people in decision-making.

Adesuwa looks forward to causing a change in the mentality of people (especially in developing countries) towards sustainability, climate change and other environmental issues, as it is mostly believed that if the effects of an action/inaction cannot be felt right away, then there is no need to worry about it. She intends to explore any and every opportunity to learn more and be in a better position to engage citizens and leaders on sustainable development.
